Omega General Help / AB Bloody S TC Bloody computer?
« on: 13 November 2010, 17:25:14 »
Hi and sorry for all the bloodys! i suspect my abs ecu is up the swanny! for weeks it has been cutting in and out.  the speedo goes off when the abs/tc lights show!  Also the steering seems to go stiff.  Now it just dont work all the time!!!!.  Is it the case the ecu is undef***able.  Is this linked to the power ateering and is it easier to change the whole modulator or just the ecu?
Thanks

i changed the sparkplugs on my 2.5 miggy yesterday and after putting everything back together it keeps stalling, sometimes it will idle for ages and sometimes the idle will pulse between 500 - 1000 rpm then stall.
Does it need a new air seal on the idlevalve of have i cocked up something else?

who or what is rusty?
ill check all the wishbones etc anyways due to the wandering and tyre wear then start to look at other possibilities if it is the pump then that doesnt exactly sound scary dudes!

im near luton (houghton regis to be exact) i will however investigate and replace the wishbones before condeming the pump! i dont think it is the steering gear itself as it steers positive and well

Hi Gang! I have just purchased my omega and bar a few issues it is a fine and fast car to drive however i have a issue that is more worrying,  that is when i have the engine running at idle the steering is amazingly stiff however when i rev the engine the steering becomes light - the tyres are worn on the edges could anybody help me with this - could it be a issue with the lower wishbones and bushe?
