Omega Electrical and Audio Help / 4 CD autochanger fault ...
« on: 22 January 2011, 12:23:33 »
Hi guys

I have the Elite fitted 4 CD Radio cassette system autochanger with magazine system on the 2.2 TDi Elite Estate. Today for some reason it refuses to take the magazine in loaded or empty. Tried all sorts but seems to be unwilling to load. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Chris

Hi Guys just for completeness I finally got to the bottom of this problem. It turned out to be a faulty waste gate solenoid on the turbo. With testing and parts it was £160 to fix. Thanks for replies

Omega General Help / Intermittent problem ...

Hi Guys ... Have a 2003 2.2 TDi Elite Estate. 112K trouble free miles from new and serviced by Vauxhall every year. Over the last 2 weeks or so I am getting the engine management light coming on, not long after start up say 5 minutes down the road. This then seems to govern the engine revs to around 2K. I have found that if I pull over and switch off wait about 30 secs restart all seems fine for a while and then the same thing occurs. On other days all is fine and no indication of this issue. At first thought it was only when started from cold (so possible Glow plugs - changed at last service) but it sometimes happens when warm. No other symptoms as car has always run faultlessly. Before I put it into the garage any words of wisdom would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance  :y

Omega General Help / Re: Fluid leak ...

Thanks all... turned up the interior temp to 22 degrees so the air con was not running all the time and it seems to have stopped leaking ... well will keep an eye on things over the next couple of days. The fuel heater seems to run for about 5 mins from start up all the time?

Thanks for all the suggestions guys

Jack

Its the 2.2 DTi Elite late 2003. Thanks all.. looks like it is water but not coolant as it is always cold. The leak seems to come from this pump like item in the front wheel well. It is in front of the drivers side wheel under the bumped a quite large piece of kit with a multi wire connector block going to it. There does not seem to be any loss of fluid from the normal things like radiator, or washer resovoir Never noticed this leak before but have had the aircon on a lot of late...which is working fine? Have tried to get a manual for the car but no luck for this model.

Hi Guys just joined the site!

I have a 2003 2.2TDi Elite estate which I have had from new and have now done 115k miles with no problems.

I have noticed a small leak under the front drivers side wing in front of the wheel. Looks like some sort of pump under there with what looks like a overflow outlet and electrical block. Even after a long drive the leaking fluid is cold. Not sure if it is water or oil as it has no smell or feel? Its not a big leak but leaves a patch of about 3-4 inches on the drive over night.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Jack!

Omega General Help / Fault message - Low Beam F1d/Vision
« on: 24 August 2010, 21:18:24 »
Hi guys

Got the above fault message on the Omega. I have been told it is likely to be the failure of the rear suspension levelling system which controls the hieght of the HiD headlights? if so is this a fairly straight forward to replace for a driveway mechanic? Also any ideas of the broadbrush price for this part?

Thanks in advance

Jack
