Omega General Help / Re: Heater problem (cool air)
« on: 12 November 2010, 12:29:45 »
Whilst replacing the HBV, I added bars flush, ran for a few days and then flushed the whole system by connecting a hose to the various pipes.

I got good flow through the matrix pipes, so I believe the matrix ought to be running at the required temperature (though without touching the matrix itself, I couldn't confirm that).

Yes, both pipes serving the matrix are as hot as any other pipe in the system when touched.

Omega General Help / Heater problem (cool air)
« on: 12 November 2010, 10:28:22 »
I have a 2000 3 litre Omega Elite with a heating problem. Looking at the other threads, I have flushed the heater matrix and replaced the HBV. Once the engine is up to its running temperature, about 90-95 deg, both pipes which serve the heater matrix are red hot. When I select any temperature on the climate control, the heater blower works perfectly, but all I get is luke warm air flow.

I have changed the control panel which houses the cabin temperature sensor, but have noticed no improvement.

Is there a flap which controls heat into the box from the matrix and where is located (easiest way to get to)

Advice welcome!
