Is it the same laser for both the CD changer and Navi ( as in will that replace both lasers)?

2
As above. Mine is slightly optimistic (apparently it was 60 degrees this morning  ;D ). I've got a replacement one, but can't find where it goes. There is always the chance that i've got the wrong type, but where is the external temperature sensor?

It does have an extra relay as well, but I can't find anything extra. No flashy lights, nothing.

4
It did seem to be extraordinarily powerful.  :D

But no, not as far as I can see. I'll take another look tomorrow and see if I can trace anything. I assume that its the main ECU then, rather than ABS or anything else?

As above. I was changing the battery over for a new one, and when I moved the little fuse box I noticed a few extra wires going into the plug. Further examination showed that about 4 wires from the original loom had been cut, and new wires wired in.

I've traced the wires back into the loom, so can't see where they actually go. Everything on the car appears to behave as it should (other than an optimistic temperature sensor) and I don't have any warning lights.

It isn't an ex-Police car and there are no extra switches or gubbins that don't appear to be factory added.

I can get pics later if necessary, but I assume that its a bodge from somewhere in its history.

I'm in Enfield, so you appeared to be the closest :)

I've sorted the lock issue now and it appeared to be related to a flat battery. Battery has been charged and the car taken on a good run, which has brought up one or two other issues.

Righto, one of the other problems i've found. I've just tried locking the car using the three button keyfob. It locked the doors, before unlocking them immediately. The car does have a flat battery, mainly as its been sat up for a few weeks/months without being used, so is this an issue that is related to a flat battery?

Secondly, anywhere to get an additional key from, other than the main stealers? I'd also need the keycode card, which I presume is dealer only?

Well, i've got a Nav CD, and it would appear that the CD player is fubared. It keeps telling me to insert the disc the right way up, so i'd guess that the lens/laser has gone and it can't read it :(

Hello all.

I've just bought a 2001 Omega, with the Siemens NCDC 2013 headunit. Unfortunately, its missing the sat-nav disc.

Firstly, where do I get a reasonable price replacement disc from?

Secondly, where does it go? In the top single CD slot?

Finally, any way of integrating an iPod into it, other than using one of the iPod FM transmitters?

Omega General Help / HID level sensor - Clip keeps coming off
« on: 06 November 2010, 00:21:33 »
RIghto. I've established that the headlamp range message is down to the front level sensor. It appears that the bit that clips on the sensor keeps coming off. Which bit do I need to replace to stop it coming off? The sensor, or the clip?
