Omega General Help / Smoking 2.2DTI from last week
« on: 01 April 2008, 19:56:43 »
Hi everybody,
thanks for all the ideas when I posted this last week.
Been away so I couldn't get back on here.
2 developments to tell you about.
I put the car into the local Vaux Dealer for a diagnostic check (which they charged me £65 for!!)
They have told me that the injection pump and the ECU both need to be replaced and the bill will come to £2100.
A contact from Aberdeen came down this morning with what he described as the latest Pickavant ACR4 unit and he managed to read the codes.
!. 1100
2. 0105
3. 1125
Can anybody make any sense of this in relation to what the vaux garage has said.

Cheers

Steve

Hi Mark, I'm in the north of scotland near dundee.
Just had a call from the local garage who has spoken to a vauxhall expert who said it is probably an electrical fault in the injection pump. Only fix is a new pump.

Hmmm, where are you?

Live data needs to be read to understand the exact cause as it couldbe many things with Turbo failure being the least likely.

The one I looked at recently with the same symptoms was suffering from a clogged inlet pressure sensor.....

Hi, can anyone help?
My 2003 Omega 2.2 diesel has developed a fault that is driving me crazy.
Starts ok, idles ok, when you try to accelerate there is no power and clouds of black smoke. If you run for more than about 10seconds with you're foot down the management light comes on.
I have plugged in my acr4 and there were no codes.
Took it to the local garage who has three different readers including the latest snap-on unit, still no codes.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

Omega General Help / Cambelt markings V6
« on: 11 June 2007, 08:49:40 »
Hi everyone,
can anybody help with finishing my cambelt change.
Got the genuine kit + water pump and did the cam cover gaskets at the same time.
Everything great till I camr to fit the new belt. There are no markings on the new belt. No timing marks and no directional arrows.
Went back to the dealer this morning and he's told me there are no markings on any new belts now.
Got a copy of the DVD and it was great, but now I'm stuck.

Omega General Help / Self levelling rear shocks
« on: 25 May 2007, 20:21:31 »
Hi, after loads of problems with rear shocks on my 03 plate 2.2DTI Elite. I want to know if it is possible to fit standard shocks and if there are any problems regarding headlamps as there is no switch on the dash for this function as there was on my old car.
Thanks
Steve
