So its not updating the date manually (same place you change the time)?

I've seen oddities on the NCDC/NCDR where the flash is corrupt.  Refreshing the firmware can resolve it most of the time in my experience.

Yes, you change it manually, but when you store the time and date you want, its clicks back to something/something/2006.

How can i refresh the firmware?

I was buying " singles" and a book of matches from age 13.
When I was able to buy packets of 10 or 20 I went for Embassy Regal.
Strong little buggers. Its was like smoking camel shit wrapped in old bus tickets.

Ah yeah....I remember these now you mention it.

The posh kids would use a box of Swan Vestas or a Ronson lighter.
