How's the ride Tig? I found later 3 and 5 series a bit too hard, and caused some discomfort in my back (which is buggered in 2 places anyway, not helping)
Guessing not causing you any issues after a run back from Scotland?

We'll ignore that DTM fella for a moment
![]() ![]() And for all those who paid out their hard earned £3 for the DVD, thank you, you have helped contribute to the running costs of OOF ![]() |

Cheers both.
On further investigation, both the current and new manifolds appear to be solid and blank off the holes where I expected the SAI jets to enter the manifold area. Am I being really dozy? I can't see any diversion of the hole other than straight through to the gasket, but then my attention to detail is lacking. |

A manufacturing company with no product to sell can only ever be piss poor management. We haven't made a Jag car for eight months, the new ones are on the proto line at the moment That said, Jaguar hasn't made a profit since pre-BL days, so its a better brand to "experiment" with than their other brand. |

My neighbour has a 1960s 3.4 Jaguar which his mother bought new it's simply stunning in red with chrome wire wheels, that's the only Jaguar I'd love to own, the modern versions just don't hit the spot.I'm guessing you are in the polishing brigade? I prefer the modern stuff. If I had a mint classic laden with chrome, I'd never use it, making it just an ornament. |

3.2 manifolds will slightly improve power, as they are less restrictive. You will still need to mount the EGR, so keep the 3.0 plenum and keep the EGR plugged in, just make sure it's blanked. Can't remember how much (5mm?) but the 3.0l downpipes need a bit chopped off to fit 3.2 manifolds.
But if you want to keep the 3.0 manifolds, yes, they can be plugged anywhere. |

On further reflection, shouldn't the rear fan kick in and out from slow to fast speed as the radiator gets hotter and cooler? It seems that once it goes on to fast at the moment it stays there, I don't think this is right. On the V6 - and 2.2 will be broadly similar, except less fans - the slow speed fan comes on at just over mid-point on the gauge (so around 96C on prefacelifts, and 87C on facelifts - the temps are actually the same if measured, but the gauge markings on the FL are lower for reasons only GM knows). The high speed fan comes on as the needle approaches the upper marking on the gauge - so around 98/99C on PFL, and 88C on FL. It's rare to hit these conditions except in hot weather after a run. (All assuming A/C off, if on, obviously the slow fans come on anyway) HTH |

Ot probably only reads the oil level when cold. Once running/hot the level will be very different. Iirc it only showed on my 335d when certain conditions were met (warm, parked on level ground, something, something else). As VXL V6 mentioned, dipstick is better |

Oil Level is shown on the Idrive and there is also a dipstick on the N57 engine - red on the N/S of the block at the rear.
