And actually managed to fix the issue.
Time to get all the covers and trays put back, then prepped for an MOT/sale

My Omega is the same. Box is ticked but the damn thing never changes, so I have to either do it myself or wait 6 months for the time to be right again. IIRC the Omega had to be told NOT to use RDS to auto change the time .... ![]() |

Hopefully you used the ACTUAL timing lock kit. This includes, not entirely surprisingly, a crank locking tool. The tool in the timing kit is more of an alignment device than a locking tool for the monstrously tight crank bolt - it will be badly damaged if used for that. The gadget Polilara has ought to be enough to tighten the bolt to spec. I tend to agree about not removing the cam covers; it's only a few minutes extra work once the belt is off, and you'll know that the seals are correctly fitted. |

On the PFL, it's an insert, with the strength of the handle in another moulding, so a 3D one might work for that, but I suspect the OP will have to design it themselves, as I very much doubt anyone has done an STL or other model file. The handle on the door itself, which you pull to close the door. Dorestyling car 1996 releaseAs some one mentioned on an earlier reply, would a 3D printed one be man enough for the job over the long term? |

The printed part turns out to be more wear-resistant than those currently on sale and it is cheaper to print than to buy others in good condition.

Hopefully you used the ACTUAL timing lock kit. This includes, not entirely surprisingly, a crank locking tool. The tool suggested above was purely for holding the crankshaft pulley while undoing the really tight centre bolt. Polilara has changed the crank seal now so once tightened the makeshift bar can be discarded. ![]() |

sorry to jump in with a possibly silly but obvious statenent ........Because no one wants to put the effort in. The end result is just not worth it. |
