I will be replacing the radiator later in the year, are the two switches on it the same? The car is a 2.2 petrol.
Thanks

My car only has one front fan and one rear. I've just done a cold start with the aircon on auto, both fans started immediately. When I switched the aircon off both fans stopped. I presume the rear fan has two speeds as it was not as noisy as the other day, so I think things are working as normal and rear fan will switch to fast (noisier) speed when things warm up.

In a perfect world, freight would travel by rail and trucks banished from the roads, other than smaller trucks to do local runs from train stations to delivery depots.
People who cant pass a test to prove they are capable of driving to a reasonably high standard forced to take trains and taxis because they are banned from the roads. Then, nice clear roads with high standards of driving, and no motorway speed limits for the rest of us. We can but dream. ![]() |

Trains are still highly efficient ways of quickly moving lots of people in/out/between cities. They're nearly as good for moving heavy, bulky loads between fixed points - like fuel for power stations.Which is why trains sort of almost work for the South East, assuming you want to go to London. They really don't work anywhere else, and outside of London's Tube system, are not financially viable to users or the taxpayer. The train companies often don't help, as parking at Chiltern stations is now a tenner a day, and Banbury station has closed it's drop off point to private vehicles, so anyone wanting to use the train from there now has to use a taxi if not in walking distance. Fine for drop off is now £40. So everyone drives to London now. |

The torque converters tend not to fail on Omegas. Not really anything to fail in them, assuming fluid level is correct.
The clutches do fail, particularly in the AR25. As said earlier, as we can get the gearboxes quite cheap in the UK, we just replace it with on from scrapyard. You have checked fluid level? Although if've your had a lot of slip already, the clutches are shot. |
