Thanks Omegatoy, I appreciate the help. With no coverage in the Haynes, EPC not working, plus the fact that I never had a problem last time, I was baffled!

When replacing your fuel filter, instead of filling it with Diesel, use a product called "Diesel Magic" (Redex or similar will give the same results). The theory is that it will go through the pump, lines, and finally injectors, at a strong concentration. This should clean out the system far better than using a small amount diluted in the tank. I tend to do this every time, and am convinced it works.

Nice. I'm liking the sound of this.  Quick question, will a motor sitting about a while can this leave injectors clogged? Thanks sorry for the hijack

Injectors won't clog because the car has been standing a while, however, there is dirt in all fuel. This dirt is in suspension, and if a car is stood, it will settle to the bottom of the tank. When the engine is started & the car moved, this layer of sediment is pulled towards the lift pump. Your first place to check would be the filter in the tank, there is a brilliant "How-to" in the Maintenance guide.
