CCr2006 face off?
« on: 17 August 2013, 11:21:26 »

While breaking the 2.6 it appears the face of the stereo if glued/cemented on, do they usually fall off? was going to sell it as it works perfectly but not sure anyone would want it due to this  :-\

They all do that......

Honesty is the best policy. A dead laser or a jammed CD cassette is the normal reason why someone would want a replacement. If the repair is a neat one it is probably stronger than the original.

Really ? I have one right now. I didn't realize it could be serious enough to scrap the head unit  ???  I thought there might be some solution

There is  :y
Either a lot of patience I trying to coax it out, or dismantling the unit. Guess it depends on whether the cassette is simply jammed as mine was, or is still in the 'open' position.

Absolutely - describe it accurately and it will sell - even if just for spares.

Philips ceased trading over 10 years ago now, and spares for the common faults are getting increasingly harder to find.
