French-----nothing but pain and big bills
Keith B
Heard all this shite before. Wife's megane, with sat nav, keyless entry, auto lights and wipers etc etc, has never cost a penny in three and a half years and 37000 miles. Despite the hysteria on here when I bought it, I took no notice and went ahead. Glad I did.
All the electrics are working perfectly, unlike mondeos that won't let you in, or other, German cars that generally self-destruct.
The lad over the road has got a Megan scenic on a 56 plate and has had no problems.

Luck of the draw tbh. SWMBO had a pug 206, bag of nails and cost a fortune. Changed it for a Megane coupe, sweet as a nut. Personally wouldn't have French, but it's personal choice and experience :)

It is luck generally. My mom had a 99 to plate clit for 10 year and bar service work it was the most reliable car she has had. She now has a bmw 1 series and it's had a host of problems.

Luck of the draw with any car, not just French ones.

Very true,of my last few vehicles a Peugeot has been the most trouble free, the Omega was the worst,it was the lowest milage of them all too :-X,wouldn't stop me having another though if the right 3.2 Elite came along ;) :y

I'd let her go for a grand on here. Probably try it at £1195 and see where I go. May pop it on the for sale section in the new year.
