Im with Plusnet for a few years....and tbh....not really had an issue with them....apart from crap compensation when i lost my service for 5 weeks....which was a BT issue...

Their website tells me i wont get any better than 6M download......but my router tells me its syncing at nearly 14M .... at least their website is pessimistic on download speeds...

I pay about £22/month for basic service of 10Gigs download every month and line rental with free evening and weekend calls. But could get that cheaper if i signed up for another 12months.

But be warned of their monthly emails telling you when they will take the DD.....its usually a few days before they say.....caught me out once...

I always ring each year asking for a cheaper deal, and they always knock some off, and as I rarely download anything, I guess I am virtually unaffected by download speeds :y :y :y

I usually get a warning email every month....saying im approaching my 10G limit..  ;D ;D

Tho if you want to stream movies/netflix/etc you will need a higher limit than 10G  :y

I pay them 55 a month for a business fibre connection - unlimited bandwidth, hosting for five websites, preferential help line, couple of free domain names.
I hammer them to the tune of about 12-20Gb *A DAY* - 233Gb this month so far :)
We stream *a lot* - sometimes four of us watching different things.

As I said earlier, the actual internet connection is OK that vast majority of the time (assuming you don't cane it, or use VPNs too heavily)

 :-\ :-\ :-\

I just use it for broadband and phone, and at £15 a month can't complain :y
If it works for you at the right price, Shack, ignore everyone else :y

I'm about to go truely unlimited, on an unmolested service...  ...only because its the same price as I pay now for a 200Gb a month capped service.

I host lots of stuff on it, OOF included...  ...but then 2yrs ago, OOF ran on a 256kbps line, and nobody really noticed  :-X. Website traffic is generally minimal ;)
