I wish i could help but my Yamaha accoustic gathers dust. I only know a few chords & dodgy riffs but when other people play it it sounds the bollix!!!  ::)

Haven't picked my guitar up in .. a couple of years :(

And last time I did all I got was crackly static out of it :( Apparently I need to dismantle it and clean/replace the jack socket.

Cheers Ian :) I should really take you up on that - it needs a darned good service, really.. and some other bits fixing - the nut fell off quite some time ago and is now only held on by the strings (less than ideal!) and it's had a buzz on the low E that I've never been able to cure regardless of what the action is set to at the bridge..

Still it wasn't expensive (it's a Hohner ST59, not an extremely renowned make I don't believe!) :)
