The magistrate replies " I've heard that choir sing, they needed f***ing!"

A small town had two magistrates. By coincidence, they were both caught speeding on the same day. So they decided to take turns and have each one sentence the other. First one goes in, says guilty as charged, and gets a caution. They then change places, and the cautioned guy now passes a sentence of 6 months ban and £200 fine on his surprised colleague. What the hell was that for, asked the college. Well normally I would be lenient, said the magistrate, but this time we need a deterrent because is the second case we had today…

some say (and i think it was mentioned on the forums too) that concentrating on making sure your speed is within the limit at a camera is more dangerous than cruising along at 35ish while concentrating on the road ahead..

in some circumstances this would be true, but its argued in scenarios such as a child running out behind a car giving the driver no chance to react, thus making the damage caused at 35 mph to be more severe than damage caused at 30mph
