Read today that some bloke went past a speed camera, he thought it had got him so he went to the local diy store, purchased a battery operated saw, went back to the camera and cut in down.
He got spotted doing this, was arrested, went to court, it turns out the camera did not flash him, he got 8 weeks in nick.

What a plonker.

There was an article in the news a few months ago about a guy that was flashed, so he went back later in  the day and set the box alight. He didn't actually manage to destroy the pictures on the hard drive (it was digital), but he parked his van in front of the camera so the Police has clear picture of his car and the reg plate... should have parked behind the camera, duhhh!   ;D

Apologies, I looked it up and it seems that I didn't remember the story correctly, he wasn't filmed parked in front but rather his van was filmed approaching the speed camera from the front. Still not the sharpest knife in the drawer... the full article is here:
