Have you done the basics?

Like pinching a length of the vac hose of another part and conencting it straight to the vac acctuatro an suck on it?

Checked vac is getting to the solenoid? (I think you have).

With the engine running, apply 12V straight to the solenoid valve and see if the actuator moves?

Solenoid brand new due to heavy handed idiot breaking it upon re-assembling plenum  :-[- Have carried out actuator test before this and solenoid functions as should with ignition only.  I thought electrical originally, where does solenoid get its 12V from and what would signal that relay to operate?

Have not tried another peice of vac hose directly to it.  would the engine need to be running when sucking on this (excuse the pun)

Will have tot try last example Friday now.

Thanks MArk

Nope...engine off.

What you ahve to do prove the components one by one.

I.e. the rear vac actuator

The solenoid valve (although new its worth checking it)

etc.

The solenoid valve is directly operated by the ecu

Like "The Master" has said Johnny you have to give it death and keep blipping quickly for it to move sometimes. Give it a go it maybe actually working with a bit of luck :y

Have just checked rear actuator by directly connecting vac pipe, works fine.  Have checked operation of solenoid by carrying out output test of solenoid - works fine.  Only thing left to check is to apply 12V directly to solenoid with engine running, will report back with findings.  If 12V direct to solenoid works would this prove an ECU problem!

myself and lazydocker ripped it a new a-hole yesterday and it failed every-time.   I appreciate it needs a good blast but we were giving it full throttle and nothing.

Well I've tried everything the master has suggested and still no rear multiram.  Could the ECU be the reason, does it need to programmed to operate the multirams at certain revs.  Wiring is intact.  Just looking upon this as a lost cause :'(

Spring broke? does it move freely and return by hand, does it make that squidgy pumping noise when you move it. Struggling now... does it show?

does everything it should chris,  i outta ideas now.  when you say does it show, do you mean by the power - without another 2.5 to compare it with, i'm not sure.  oh well just have to live with it.  thanks chris :y

We both checked everything...... Several times and still can't seem to get it going >:( >:( >:(

How's it running on gas?

I still don't think it's down much on power... Well, nothing another 500cc wouldn't fix ;) ;)
