OK, Ive just been out and had a quick look at where the cable is situated and how easy it would be to rejoin the cables for the time being however this is not goint to be easy.

The main section of the cable that comes up to the multiplug is easy enough however the other section only sticks out by an inch so is insufficient for me to cut back clean up and solder together. Plus with it being so close to the aux tentioner their is hardly any room.

Any idea what route the cable takes back to the sensor.  I was wondering if I could pull it though and reroute it to give me more slack
