Well, I think I said in my 'newbie' post that I had a few issues, so, I was wondering if anyone could offer any assistence with the following (although the car decided to lunch it's auxillary belt this morning, so thats currently being fixed).

1) Oil leak, where oh where is the oil coming from. So far I've had the rocker gaskets done, cam seals, and the tucking fhing is still leaking oil. The Valdez has nothing on what's now on my drive. It's using/losing about a litre a week (being driven around 600 miles per week)

2) Drivers seat electrical adjustment (well backwards and forwards anyway) If I stick the correct sized square socket in the manual adjuster, I can move it, the motor won't though, are these easy enough to swop over ?

3) Autobox. there's 1st, there's 2nd, there's 3rd, theres 4th, absolutely fine on a drive. Stop though and start up again and it always misses 4th and decides it wants to hit the limiter (although I can now catch it, force it to 3rd by moving the gearstick, wait for a thump, then slip it back into D and it's fine after that) any ideas ?

It's getting to the point where (after treating it to a really nice Cadillac cup holder for up front) that I'm tempted to chuck it on evilBay as spares or repairs (although it's tax/tested and does run fine taking into account the above)

Strangely though for a big v6 I've been getting 29.5 MPG (so the computer tells me)  for the last 3800 miles.

Any help on sorting the above would be greatly appreciated.

Did you use original rocker gasket?
Are the breathers clean?
If aftermarket gasket or blocked breathers the gasket will fail easily again.
Check the back part of the engine.
Mine usually leaked there on rubber rings of the gasket

There seems to be a layer of oil under the radiator (hence the cam seal change, although I did have the timing belt done at the same time to save a bit of labour expense) almost as though it's being squirted their under pressure. If I park on a non oiled bit of road (or car park) it always seems to drip from the front of the car.

When the rockers were done I did tell the garage to use genuine ones (of course whether they did is anyones guess)

Hmm in the front!!
I am guessing either oil filter, or oil cooler.
I hope someone will be more helpfull than me

I'm hoping someone will say there's a little known pipe that carries oil from x to y, and it occasionally goes, but is only 50p from Vx and a 5 minute job to replace ;)

Or that due to the auxillary belt tensioner siezing this morning (and I guess it must have been on it's way out for a while) the belt struggling to turn has put a bit of pressure on something thats caused a leak.

Sounds to me that you need to check the engine  breather system first - there is a assist in the Guide section. If it is blocked it will force the oil oit from the seals as mine did. I cleaned out the breather system, did not replace any oil seals at all and the leak stopped!
You should also check the oil level in the auto box too. It is surprising how many problems are solved by correct oil levels.
Electrics? Check the fuses and the cable joints under the seat. Sometimes stuff pushed under the seats for storage breaks the joint clip.

I've had the box drained and refilled. This hasn't stopped the problem.

I'll have a look at the breather system as it seems I'll have a few days of boredom Christmas to find stuff to do (and it'll save me having to decorate).

Is it just 4 bolts holding the seat to the floor ? as I may as well remove it to have a good look and is the airbag connector a decent length ? (or does anyone know)

4 torx bolts. Ign. on then off and disconnect battery negative lead within 15 seconds. Wait about 10mins for airbag then you can remove seat and disconnect multi-plugs. Don`t switch ign, on with plugs disconnected otherwise you`ll trigger the airbag warning light :y

Could be the oil pressure switch (just to left of bottom pulley) or the crankshaft front seal.
A good clean with gunk then watch where the oil gathers or appears from.
