Well, I think I said in my 'newbie' post that I had a few issues, so, I was wondering if anyone could offer any assistence with the following (although the car decided to lunch it's auxillary belt this morning, so thats currently being fixed).
1) Oil leak, where oh where is the oil coming from. So far I've had the rocker gaskets done, cam seals, and the tucking fhing is still leaking oil. The Valdez has nothing on what's now on my drive. It's using/losing about a litre a week (being driven around 600 miles per week)
2) Drivers seat electrical adjustment (well backwards and forwards anyway) If I stick the correct sized square socket in the manual adjuster, I can move it, the motor won't though, are these easy enough to swop over ?
3) Autobox. there's 1st, there's 2nd, there's 3rd, theres 4th, absolutely fine on a drive. Stop though and start up again and it always misses 4th and decides it wants to hit the limiter (although I can now catch it, force it to 3rd by moving the gearstick, wait for a thump, then slip it back into D and it's fine after that) any ideas ?
It's getting to the point where (after treating it to a really nice Cadillac cup holder for up front) that I'm tempted to chuck it on evilBay as spares or repairs (although it's tax/tested and does run fine taking into account the above)
Strangely though for a big v6 I've been getting 29.5 MPG (so the computer tells me) for the last 3800 miles.
Any help on sorting the above would be greatly appreciated.
