Was it the same/similar symptons Tunnie, no revs then a quick release and press and all OK :question

No, i had zero throttle response until i restarted. When it was unresponsive i just had an unusually high idle of 1.2k rpm.
Sensor on pedal seems OK. Just had this happen, no throttle until switched off then on. Tunnie, did you get the 0340 cam sensor code at all. :question Put the reader on it and no stored or pending codes :-/ Is it possible to have an intermittent fault with the cam sensor and not to throw an 0340 :question

Having trouble remembering now, was about 4 years ago. Think i had it tech2'd and it was showing cam sensor error

Think I`ll bite the bullet and replace the cam sensor. IIRC it`s been known to throw spurious codes and unexplained malfunctions without revealing the 0340

Update.
Changed the cam sensor yesterday (genuine) now I`m getting this quite often. Any more ideas please :-/

I'd say throttle body, not really seen pedal sensor fail  :-/

Can be purchased on it`s own for cable operated throttle but on the DBW it appears to be part & parcel of the throttle body.
