They do have some great party tricks, though. One of my mates once demonstrated his tying its' crankshaft in a knot whilst pulling "spiritedly" out of a pub car park. ;D

I remember my boss putting one in a hilux many years ago without too much problem and that thing went like stink (given its heritage lol)

Thankfuly a lot easier to achieve these days thanks to the Merlin F85 heads but yes, a rather poor performing engine on which the cylidner ehads were nicely ruined by Rover when they took it on.
