Often think about getting one, but I don't see much point  :-\.

When i bought The Beastie from Hotel 21 he had his own plate which he kept so the car went back to it's original S plate. I bought another one for it. Many of you know it but i won't divulge as it's still on the car & the present owner is a member but it's a funny plate & only cost £140. I've seen cars for sale on ebay & other sites with such plates that are "valued" at silly amounts of money plus private sellers thinking thier precious no. is worth 2 or 3 grand. "VALUED" my arse. If you want one google any private/personal reg. & buy a similar one for next to nothing...ie £140....might be a tad more now as this was 3 or 4 years ago & there are transfer fees but you get the gist.

Private plates can be cheap. IGNORE "valued at" prices.  Valued by who? You don't have to spend big bucks. :y

I bought one for the Mrs for Xmas spells out her surname, OK it wasn't cheap but now she says if we tied the knot she wouldn't change her name so I said not much point then really.

Now that's what I call an investment reckon the plate has already saved me a fortune ;D ;D ;D
