It would be very interesting to find out if this technology could be used on Vehicle Glass.  Products such as Rain-X are Hydrophobic so they repel water, which in effect is what this technology does but to a much greater extent.

I suppose the problem would be how to clean your windscreen after following a truck on a salt-laden road!
