But would your phone survive being washed in the washing machine?  :-[ :-[

Well worth it for expensive gadgets like smartphones and tablets etc. if this procedure doesn't cost the earth and lasts a decent period rather than a couple of weeks then again it all depends on price at the end of the day.. Promising though  :y

I've just thought of another use for this technology, As many of you know I've been having issues with my windscreen smearing this would be a cure  ;D

A colleague of mine lost his i phone 4s approx 3 months ago whilst chasing a shoplifter through the rear service yard and as you know we`ve had a bucket load of rain since... Well i found his i phone 2 weeks ago in the edge of some bushes, it was wet and cold day and i gave it him back thinking nothing more about it... He came up to me 2 days later and informed me he had dried it out somewhat by putting it in a bag of long grain rice and he had charged it and to his and my astonishment it worked... He`s just waiting for a tool kit to come for it  now so he take it apart and clean and dry it out completely... But whats amazed me is his insurance company or 02 dont want it back!! as far as they are concerned he can keep it and use it along with his replacement he got through the insurance.... I`d of thought they would want it back but it seems they dont.....

Yes the rice thing works - mixture of this and airing cupboard fixed my daughter's Samsung SII after she dropped it in toilet.

Reminds me of those scotch guard demos they do when you buy a sofa. Works in the shop, but a couple of years later when you spill something....
