I currently run an S type 2.7 TT diesel. very smooth with decent punch. Had a few little problems, but nothing unusual. Had an x type 3.0 before, was a good motor, grippy, but 13mpg around town. had an auto gearbox glitch as well

i do like the s type, and on a run you can get close to 50mpg

X-Types aren't terrible, although they are like a Mondeo to drive, should note that every Jaguar I've ever owned be it, an X-Type, an S-Type and an XJR, were small inside.
