Bolt should come out easy enough , just take your time dude . I can imagine a few swear words were exchanged between you an miggy 

nah, I don't swear at them anymore. I used to throw tools around  but found a calm place that i'm happy in.

to be fair all I have to do is get the cams in, button up exhaust fannymould on drivers side, cambelt, cam covers and plenum back. the only thing I think im going to struggle on is the electrical connections i.e. where they all go 

Start at the ECU and you won't go far wrong

Just remove that cam cap and then tap the remnants of the bolt round until it comes out.

ask emd-take cam cap off use small screwdriver to chisel bolt around-when enough proud-use pliers---done several-as this happens more than people admit oh seal is fine as is-by the way---

Yep , it happened on my engine re build . Change underwear when it happened but the snapped bolt came out pretty easily

That cam seal looks a bit proud too.  It wont go in fully when the front cap is fully torqued (been there, tried it) you'll have to let it off a bit to be able to get it to go in properly.  Once the seal is fully inserted and level, retorque the front cap
