So where do I find the rest....?

As Zirk said, you can do a search based on file size using *.* as the search string, or you can install Treesize if you like looking at pretty pictures of graphs, pie charts, etc.

If you do use Treesize, you need to run it in Administrator mode in order for it to scan the entire HDD

It was probably looking at pretty pictures that got him into trouble in the first place

Buy a bigger HDD and do a new XP install an image copy of the old one on to it and then put the new one in your laptop. You will need a USB HDD case or use a caddy that you can plug the HDD into. The caddies are about £15 off fleabay.

You can then remove all of the programs off the old HDD and use it to backup data.
