Mike Smith the ex-BBC Radio 1 DJ and presenter has died aged 59 after complications following heart surgery - RIP

Swmbo is sitting next to me, having lived through complications following heart surgery, we just never know do we............. :( :(

Indeed we don't.

My Dad (just turned 77) when for an angiogram the other week, as they pulled the wire/tube from his groin he had a cardiac arrest  :o ....... as he came to after they'd resuss'ed he thought he'd been asleep for a minute .......  ??? ??? ??? Turns out he needs a triple by-pass  ???

He will be in and out in a few days, but will take many weeks to recover........ :( :(

I think that he thinks that he'll be fit for work again sooner rather than later

Swmbo just had a heart op, not a by pass but the 'sternum' broken non the less, 3 weeks later she is not able to do very much at all, still some pain, can't lift anything, can't even pour a glass of Milk, her sick note is for 12 weeks, as a starting point, and sadly it is begging to get to her.............. :( :(

I'd imagine a broken sternum would be very painful on its own without the added heart op  :(
