Taking the Omega again in October - only reason that I bought that car was so that I had something to drive when we went in June.

Nice comfortable cruise there - 140+ on the autobahns. Fun round the 'ring in a slow, slidey kinda way. Car needs about another 100bhp in all honesty, to stop it being a rolling-chicane. Pondering whether to make an effort and get a Saab 2.3 Turbo engine fitted before we go.

Only problems I had was I that the battery died, so had to get a replacement, stupid hub caps severed a tyre valve (they've since been binned and I run on steelies) and one of the rear shocks snapped off at the bottom just as we pulled onto the ferry back at Dunkerque. Having changed both the rear shocks, it was apparent they they were really worn at the bottom, where the bolt goes through. Can only imagine that it was caused by contact with speed humps - it's the lowest part of the car after all.

Would seriously recommend investing in some decent sticky rubber - Toyo Proxie T1's worked very after a 1/4 of a lap got them upto temperature.

Meant to add - I've been going regularly for the last 7 or 8 years, in a variety on different cars - so feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer them for you.
