was wondering when this would come up. Its on my
Bucket list, but not quite ready for this trip yet
because, as said it would have to be on a bike.
The trip a is pig on a bike so would have to be towed
On a trailer for me, and i dont have a tow bar, a trailer
Or a road legal bike. They are track only bikes with
No lights and race bodywork so i have a phew
Things to sort out first. But one day, i will be able to
tow the bike there, take the car round, find out
Where is goes and learn the place at least a little bit,
Then take the bike round for a hoon... One day.
Be advised tho, the place is a bit of catch 22, you need
To keep out of they way of the nutter locals who
Practically live there, with tricked up race spec. kit.
But to do that you need to know the line, and which
Bit of the track to use to keep out of the way. And that
Only comes with knowledge and experience. Which
New comers dont have. You can spend more time
Looking in your mirrors than where your going if the
Place is busy. Which does not help your concentration.
There are blind corners that can well catch you out,
And if you do bin it/break down/run out of fuel(most
Likely) they will charge you an arm and a leg to
Recover you! The carossel can damage the bottom of
Your car(im told) and your car needs to be in tip top
Condition in the handling dept. No room for shot
Wishbones with rattles judders and wobbles. Also you
Can very well be on track(toll road) with all manor of
Vehicles. Bikes will be well rapid on the straights, cars
Up your arse in the corners, inter mingled with
Sight see ers in mini buses on occasion, the potential
For a mare is high. But,for me it just has to be done.
One day.
Oh, most important. Leave no stone unturned re. when
The place is actually open. Its not unhurd of for people
To travel thousands of miles to get there, only to
Find the place is closed. For testing usually.
Knowledge is everything at the ring, so if you have
a games consol/you tube, its said that can help..a bit.
The danger there is people then tend to think they
know it...They dont. Have fun.
