If the scoring is deep, you could use something like devcon aluminium filler instead of polyester filler, bugger to sand, but goes rock solid and sticks like s**t to a blanket - just remember good surface prep is key.

The chromed rims were done for the yanks as they are into tasteless tat like that. Seen them myself & they are hideous. As were most of the changes GM made for that market. Only good thing they did which er did'nt get the option of was a cup holder on the prefacelift cars.
Back to the main subject I have a refurber donw the road from me. They do not relaquer wheels after refurbing so god knows what protection there is for the paint
