the Highway Code states simply that "you must secure your load and it must not stick out dangerously"
 


.....and the Police in these parts seem to interupt that as being secured to a roof rack / bars, not even just roof rails has I had on my Toyota Carina Estate!   So strapping straight onto a bare roof, if anyone was thinking of doing it anyway, is not acceptable. ;)

yeah - seems a bit vague Lizzie - but you wouldn't want it sliding around up there scratching the Miggy anyway - so common sense i suppose - 100kg doesnt seem a lot - i'd be careful Gaffers as it's the kind of load the police would want to look at if they saw you  :o

Indeed Bannjaxx and in fact now I have a miggy again I will never put anything on its roof...........well I have got a towing hitch!! ;D ;D ;)
