As the article says Debs, there is no hard shoulder along this road and it comes to a halt very quickly if there is a breakdown, the bike gets there quickly through the traffic, tows the broken down vehicle away and gets the traffic moving. I use this road almost every day and it is a good solution for this road. They only tow the vehicle to a safe area and then it is recovered properly.

"Cold debrief": would that be jargon for; 'asking someone after the event'? ::)

Just have one question, Police biker has 190-200mph capable bike, and high speed training, but still has problem catching 139mph biker   :-? .

Hello, hello, hello, becomes bye, bye, bye in this case !  ;D

Was passing through newcastle area on Wednesday and saw the TrafPol there on their bike...  Funny battenburg colours though - blue and pink!  seriously!  Didn't have time to get a snap but saw 4 different bikes on the A1 all sporting the same blue/pink scheme...

Anyone else seen them?   :-?
I've seen same coloured bikes in the N.E. with some sort of frame set up bolted to the back.
    What's that all about? :-? :-/

'Busas are a heavy (Bandit weight) sportbike???
Quick as break in a straight line but a 600 / 750 R6/gixer/blade would leave them dead on the twisties. Let alone a KTM supermoto etc. so hardly a pursuit machine in real terms considering bikers enjoy A/B roads to misbehave on.
Top speed over practicality? Ill thought out waste of taxpayers money. ::)
