A little off topic but i wandered how many guys and gals, on the forum have clean driving licences. And how long have you held them, ive had mine 30 years.

25 years..The last time I was caught for speeding was 7 years ago.. not that I go slow  ::) because I know most of their locations ;D

but I had fines for wrong parking etc etc.. >:(
Cem do they put points on you for speeding or just a fine

yep.. they do give you points if within one year you pass 20 (means 4-5 fines) you loose the license.. :(

Two in 57 years, one when I was 20, 36mph in a 30.

Next 34 in a 30, 4 years ago.

Both on dual carriageways, going downhill.

Blimey 57 years! didn't they walk in front with a red flag in them days ::) ;D.

I thought 10% + 2mph was the norm ?  :-/
We should all drive long constantly staring at the speedo, might mow a lot of people down but wouldnt get done for speeding. ;)

I had a clean licence for 27 years, until a few months back. Most annoying part is that it was a moneybox camera van about 100yds from my house.

My girlfriends just come back after a week away with her daughter.
Her daughter got caught by an average speed camera in Nott's at the begining of last week, on arrival home today she has a second one. That's not the best of it, the best bit is they're both on the same stretch of road & this one's a few days later. She now has nine points :o :o :o :o
She'll have to drive steady now else lose her licence. I don't expect her insurance company will be happy to hear of the news or maybe they will, with an increase in premium.

Yet another person who does not understand the word, average.

I see sooo many people fly up to the average cameras, slow, then speed off again.  ;D
