Two speeding fines in one week
« on: 11 September 2009, 21:04:32 »

My girlfriends just come back after a week away with her daughter.
Her daughter got caught by an average speed camera in Nott's at the begining of last week, on arrival home today she has a second one. That's not the best of it, the best bit is they're both on the same stretch of road & this one's a few days later. She now has nine points :o :o :o :o
She'll have to drive steady now else lose her licence. I don't expect her insurance company will be happy to hear of the news or maybe they will, with an increase in premium.

With the increased installation of average speed test devices, there will be many more unfortunates and an ever increasing number of raised premiums.

I just hope that the sale of Stihl saws increases at the same rate ;)

35 years for Bike and Car test around 30 years for HGV and PSV.  Seems like only a few years ago :-X :'(
Been caught for speeding twice, one in a truck, 7.5 tonner, on the A1 at Doncaster, when speed limit was only 40 mph for trucks.  Again on the A1 for doing 86mph on the A1 round Catterick in a Mk 5 Cortina Estate.  Both vehicles were the same company, both about 28/9 years ago.... :)

Two in 57 years, one when I was 20, 36mph in a 30.

Next 34 in a 30, 4 years ago.

Both on dual carriageways, going downhill.

Passed 30 years ago.

Finally caught for speeding (I had to slow down for them) in 1985 and I think it's been clean since.
