I asked at Carcraft in Rochdale if they had a 3.0 auto Elite. ''We've got one there" he says,  it was a 2.5 manual CD  :-? When I questioned him again, his reply was ''you can't have eveything" :-?  :-?  :-?
Needless to say I didn't hang around in there for long!  ;D   ;D

Still thought it was only on NEW cars? :question

It's just a marketing ploy bandwagon that firms are jumping on. I heard an ad. on the radio the other day offering a scrappage deal on double glazing!

Because the car one was apparently a success (not sure myself, not many 09 cars compared to 08), everyone is using the term instead of 'Sale' which is tired currently.

The Government backed scheme (£1k from taxpayer, £1k from dealer) has now finished

It's miles from me... But I'm in ;D ;D ;D

Actually... They've had many names. Many years ago I bought a car from the Chertsey Branch. I must say, although it was (as I now know!) over-priced it was a good car and did 170k taking the total to 250k) before being scrapped due to the engine getting a bit tired. I did go back to try out cars a few times when I was bored ::) ::) and managed to get the salesman clinging to the grab handles a few tiimes ;D ;D ;D
