Seems to be the norm arround here, obviously they dont have the higher overheads.

try looking round on some of the out of town older industial estates.  it's just a matter of time before someone mentions they have a mate who works at a garage, but has all the gear in his garage etc.  Who ever you go with just make sure you can see some of thier current work.  (and make sure you see it in natural daylight)

As Daz says, I would try for a second hand door with no rust. Trying to stop rust once its started is very difficult unles you cut it out.

I agree with Pete, look hard enough and you will find a door then rustproof it inside and out liberally. I am looking for a set to put away for the future as I think decent miggy doors are going to become really hard to find in a couple of years.

That does seem rather expensive. I paid £400 for a respray to both sides, mirror caps and touch ups on an Omega saloon, polish to the roof and boot lid, rear bumper etc. Went in looking terrible, came out excellent.
His quality of work is first rate, very nice guy. I would never use anyone else. If I need it done quickly, he'll do that for me. Sometimes he gives me quotes, and I can't believe how cheap it is. But it's all done properly.
He's about 8 miles from me, and I'm 4 miles myself from Oxford city centre, if anyone needs work doing...feel free to send me a PM and I'll forward his number and details  :y

What you have to remember there though Josh is that you are trade and a regular customer.  privte customers might pop in for jobs every 3 or 4 years or just one off jobs.

it is in thier interest to look after you, as you will allways be a regular.  :y
