What is wrong with people?  :o :o

You spend maybe a third of your life in your bed. Spend some money and get a decent bed. Memory foam mattresses are brilliant. Say it lasts 10 years and costs a £1000 that is less than £3 a night.

£3 a night is over £10000 for 10 years ;D i guess you mean 30p a night. think it depends on peoples budgets. Wish i just had a £1000 :)

Oops, good job I am not in finance or worse in charge of the public purse!! ;D ;D

I am glad your not the tax man!  ;D

Interesting, we need a new mattress so recommendations please.

Just bought a (very expensive) washing machine so trying to catch up on key items that need replacing (watch out wife!)

Sealy Millionaire  :y

Had one here 5-6 years, and will replace with the same before long....

I am a big bugger though, Al may find it a little on the hard side being slighter - actually im sure her and Ljay have slept together in it before now  :y

About a year ago i paid just short of £200 for a properly sprung king size, the one with the sleeping hippo.....shut it.....Last one lasted 10 years. Trick is to turn & rotate them every couple of months, use a mattress protector & when you change the bedding, hoover the room & mattress.
I sprinkle a little talc on top of the sheet before putting the quilt back as well 'cos i'm a tart!!! :-*

after getting a backache all the time and a broken  spring come through and gauge my leg when with my x, i went for the dearer option and the most comfortable bed when we broke up and paid 1495 for it. i regulary flip it and turn it so it stays the same shape. still like new after 7 years. :y

Don't have to flip our new foam one, 10  year warranty, dust mite protection. One that caused us grief was pocket spring, deliberately did not turn it as it went from bloody uncomfortable to dam right painful if we did.   >:(

Not long after buying the expensive pocket sprung mattress, complaints started from the other side of the bed that it was too stiff (stop sniggering at the back) ::)....put a memory foam topper on it and it is now excellent.

breaked if I was going to buy another mattress. Cheaper to get a fatter/heavier wife. :D ;D ;D
I wasnt much more than 10 stone at the time myself, but I never had a problem with it. ::) :-X
I was thinking today as I was working on the bike, that now I have gained almost a couple of stone the 600 must be a lot slower than when I first had it. I think that could be a justifiable reason to acquire a litre bike. ;) :) ;D
