A friend of mine bought an chipped Impreza a few years back eagerly took me for a spin in it, then asked me the question?, yea its ok I replied, but not as quick as my Sierra Sapphire, rubbish was he's response.

So next were bashing arround in my RWD Sapphire Cosworth, mildly tunned to 310bhp.

He's response yea, my Impreza quick, but this is mental, think Ive bought the wrong car.
 :D

You are talking a different Animal with the Cosworths in my book.
A good mate of mine who owns Turbo Systems had a Desert Storm, now that was frightening :o

Not knowing a great deal about the variations of old escort and sapphire cosworths, but how can an old sapphire 2.0 litre turbo with 200 bhp and loads of lag do 0-60 in 6 seconds? Especially a 4wd one? What was the escort cossie rated at aswell? I destroyed one in my MR2 Turbo in Northern Ireland!

The difference is I was not talking about a standard Cosworth. My mate tells me that the engine was built to withstand 500bhp. . now in anyones book that is serious.  :y
