oh dear .... this car seems to be getting poorly .... loosing coolant aswell today .... appears to be the HBV..... i think i need to spend some money on her and get her fully checked over .... only had it for about 2 months ( bought from a garage ) and this is the third thing to have gone wrong , although they were fixed under warranty ... just getting a little frustrated with it now .... maybe needs to go in to VX for exhaust / service and get any software updates too ... my last one never missed a beat hence why i bought another one    :'(

Just this coolant leak and the exhaust ..... when i test drove the car it was fine , ie no noises from the exhaust , but it failed the mot when they said they would put a year on it on emmisions so they replaced the front pipe and cat .... when i collected it there is a sqeek from the front exhaust somewhere and the back box is rattley almost as if the baffles have gone and im sure its knocking on something ... only does it when its heated up though ... its really doing my head in cause i hate rattles and squeeks so i planned either a stainless system or a Vx original because of course the exhaust " isnt covered by warranty "  .... i prefer a quieter ride so i dont know if this rules out the stainless system ......now of course its leaking coolant.... first central locking went , then the coil or something along those lines and now this .... :'(    .... but at least it got me home  :y

Have you checked exhaust mountings to see if secure. Dont worry about the HBV... its a £35 job at most. Less with TC card.  Im sure it will all get sorted mate  :y :y

Ive had the car in several exhaust shops and they say there is nothing wrong with it .... thing is it doesnt do it when its sitting idling on a ramp but try telling them that when they are underneath it banging on it saying its fine .... does it when its on the road being driven and only in certain rev bands ... say between 1500 - 2500 revs and again not in the first mile or two ... only when heated up....its really frustrating hence why i thought about replacing it all from cat back  :-/....  :y
