can anybody point me in the direction of the relay- obviously it's in the relay box and the fuel pump fuse is the 3rd one in from the right in the middle row afaik

how easy is the fuel pump to get out?

oh yeah... would a hole in the pipe for the secondary air injection cause it to not start?
it's not on the pipe going to the one way valve but on the other side of the injector if that makes sense (right on the bend in the pipe)
tbh didnt think it was major

thanks

Update! update! update :P
riiight then, after some relay masticating and also taking pipes off the fuel pump... its getting fuel! buuuut... it has random missfires on cyl 1 and i think 5... had oily smoke i think it was coming off 5 and 6 at one point (i think it was oily)

anyway had the plenium off to see a big blue flame come out of the inlet haha!

it sounds like its running on about 3 cylinders lmao! not good :P
it's compressing and then decompin on a few cylinders and then firing on a couple so turning over with a couple of bumps of firing.

do you think it's dispack or check spark plugs first? check for oil in plugholes?

thanks

Wellit certainly cant hurt to check for oil in the plug holes anyway as its easy enough to do??

Are you sure the timing is right Alex?

Did you replace the head or is it the old one?? Might be the heads knackered?>?

i'm on about going to check the oil in plug wells today..

the only reason the timing would be out would be because some moron took the cams out and hasnt bothered to put the pulleys onto the cams properly.

is there a possibility its the dispack/ht leads that are caputted making it spark at the wrong time?

the only reasons i can think of a backfire are... the valve is majorly bent alloying the exploding gases to fire out of the inlet manifold lol! or that its sparking at the wrong time because of the dis pack

thanks

is the coil pack ok , you can use ht lights to check spark at plugs and you can use a noid light to check injection pulse .
