That's typical. You don't come round here for ages and that's the best you can come up with.  >:(

Nice to read you again Dave.  :y ;D

Yes and they were sh!t, no grip when cold and wet, when you need it the most!!

For cheapish tyres try www.camskill.co.uk

225/55 R16 go from £40 to £88 delivered

235/45 R17 go from £42 to £90 deivered, and they are 'named' brands, i.e 17" Avons are £68 and Toyos are £75

Hi I had some of them falkens on my old mv6 and they were crap.
If you are looking for a set of good budget tyres that stick like second hand curry to a blanket try Nankang NS2's.
If you shop around you will get a full set for around £200 fitted and once fitted you will never buy expensive tyres again.

Ive got some Teflon Non-Sticks on the back of mine at the moment. I dont know if its the Omega that has started to run well because it knows its about to be taken apart or if its me being a bit heavy with the right foot ::)

I ordered in 4 Continental Premium Contact 2's for mine, hopefully be here tomorrow or Tuesday...

I ran Conti PremiumContact 1's on the Corsa which took part in the odd race.  The only thing with it the fronts would wear completely after about 8k, but the camber was set up silly for cornering grip.  The front's are now down to the limit after just 3 months of driving on that...  Expensive hobby!  ;D

They never once let me down, and from what I read the 2's are better overall, hence the extra £1 or something spent per tyre to see :)

Me being the old skinflint that I am, but when my last 2.0GLS omega died, I got the scrap yard to save the nearly new tyres for me. When the set on the new Omega wore out I fitted the saved ones, and they look good for another year at least.

I think that (ZE512) is what I have on mine.  They handle fine.  I bought the car at 94k with 2 Falken and 2 Contis - they weren't brand new by any means.  Replaced them at just past 120k with 4 Falkens (£60 each incl.).   26k+ will do me.
