As Mark said, the tab on the suppressor is bolted to the rear of the 2,4,6 head (where the wiring loom ground connection is, IIRC), and the flying lead connects to a connector from the loom close to the 2,4,6 coil pack. It sits across the +12v supply to the coil pack common.
