Corsa help
« on: 01 March 2012, 16:49:34 »

As the weather is starting to become a little warmer, I'm tempted to perform a little  routine maintenance  on Mrs Opti's 53 plate Corsa 1.2 SXI.

Can someone knowledgeable please tell me this?

1.How much oil does she take?
2.How large is the cooling system?. I'm after a 50/50 antifreeze mix with VX red coolant.

I suppose I could ask on the Corsa forum, but it seems to be inhabited by pubescent chavs..... ;)

It takes as much oil as it needs to get to the mark ;) ::) probably abou 4.5 litres.

As for coolant capacity... Not sure. I'd guess at about 7.5l but could be well off ::) Just flush it through and top up with 50:50 mix :y

As above, 3.5 litres of oil plus .25 for the filter.

5 litre total coolant capacity.

Easy to do oil changes on  :y

That was a good price, cost me 70 plus vat just for the clutch and that's trade plus I've got to add some labour
