3.2 codes
« on: 12 March 2012, 15:43:51 »

Hi
Just put a code reader on my 3.2 MV6 cleared a load but three keep coming back

0230 fuel pump primary circuit high
0155 O2S21 heater circuit open
0155 O2S21 heater circuit malfunction

I assume the 0155 is a duff lambra sensor bank 2 sensor 1
but what could the cause of the 0230 be
Thanks

that 0230 is a rare code, I'll have to look that up when I'm back in the land of civilisation, as I'm currently breathing soot in that hellhole known as London :(

The other is either the lamda or its wiring.

OK, was it a good code reader?  There are 3 0230 codes, and nasty code readers always pick the first option. Because they are nasty.

But, look, as Albs said, at Fuel Pump relay, and also check the socket, and the ECU plug and socket, for dampness ingress.

Is that the colour LCD one? I get a feeling they talk 'dangle berries', and pick top option for a code.

Either way, you have a plan of attack now :y

Had a look this morning only thing i can see is someone has spliced the thin black with green tracer wire from relay 10 to a thin black wire using a really thick wire with fuse holder and a blue fuse

That will be your problem. That's the coil side of the fuel pump relay. No valid reason to connect anything to that.

Where does this wire go?

Just had another look the cut  black with green tracer wire from the relay has been spliced into a thin black wire that goes into the lower of the two ECU plugs.
I have also found the other end of the black green wire that also goes to the lower ECU plug but its now connected to nothing
