Had enough now

You may have seen other thread about my car stopping dead Well its still doing it Changed crank sensor/coilpack/leads/ plugs/fuel filter and MAF all from vauxhall its got cam covers and breathers done. Any ideas!!! Apart from summer banger meet!!! :'( :'( :'(

yep fine yesterday then tonight did it again - think over weekend will be putting my purple saloon on the road and scrapping the estate really wierd fine one day and then not.... :(

drive along then slow down and stop at junction-engine cuts restarts straight away ??? ??? and same on lpg

Never cuts above 1000rpm?

Is the idle rock solid at 550rpm (assuming AC working)?

Is it always on deceleration? If you left it idling on the drive, would it do it?

yes, mine was same till I took the ICV out cleaned throughly, popped it back and no problems.  It was well solid no flow through it at all

Sounds like you been having a bad time with one thing and another , your heading the right way though ... ICV idle control valve as you say , give it a clean and light lube . Mine was giving same problem but cleaned and runs fine now , worth a shot. I used brake cleaner and let it soak a few mins then empty out and dry and put 1-2 drops of light oil in ...may take a few miles to settle after its been cleaned  ;)

been in garage ealier and cleaned valve out with carb cleaner then WD40 . soon find out tomorrow morning when I go to work if its ok or not.
