been in garage ealier and cleaned valve out with carb cleaner then WD40 . soon find out tomorrow morning when I go to work if its ok or not.

WD40 is a Water Dispersant, in a very light solvent solution as a carrier fluid .. it is crap as a lubricant as most of it evaporates.

IF you've gone to the trouble of cleaning it properly, then lubricate it properly with a light oil .. sewing machine oil is probably best .. if not 3-in-1 or similar ....

use an OIL .. not a solvent solution !!!

Duck oil is the same as WD40, it's a water repellent so no, use what they said, a light machine oil or 3 in 1 and very sparingly. Don't know if they are the same design but when I cleaned mine on my Omega A the first time I used slightly more than 1 or 2 drops and within a month it had clogged up with very fine particles sticking to the oil turning it into a kind of varnish, had to do it all again!
Don't make my mistake and hope everything works all right for you. :y

Defo icv.
It may take several attempts to clean icv until it works reliably, it may also be buggered.
Don't be tempted to poke sharp implements in the outlet of the icv, like a flat blade screw driver, to see if the valve opens. There's a good risk the leading edge may well chip and it can then stick.
It's very easy to clean your self, couple of jubilee clips and and electrical plug, keep tools, carb cleaner, 3in1 oil in the boot for next time it happens.

If after 4 or 5 attempts to clean it still plays up, replace it. Good used off here though, dealer wants £90 odd

It is the same unit as the Omega A (Carlton) 2.0 and 2.6 so there will be plenty of good used spares about - I have a few!

3 in 1 works well - as Jon said just one or two drops.  I have also seen gun oil work well.
