looking to change my thermostat on my 2.6 v6. when draining water via red plug on radiator how much coolant will come out just so i can get the right size bucket / bowl   :-\ ( i know sounds a dumb question )

I think you'll need another bowl too if your washing up bowl holds 4 litres  ;) ;) You'll drain about 5  :y :y

well changed the stat today what a pig of a job that was. ::) Now i know why they call the b*stard bolt a b*stard bolt P.I.T.A. >:(
hope in never have to do one again  :-\
anyway job done + cleaned breathers and throttle body as well :y
so time for a nice cuppa and wash the blood off my knuckles  :y

not a bad job apart from the b*stard bolt.But 6 hours well spent in the sun :D ;)

I have so much about the bxstard bolt  ;D cant wait to tackle the job ...well done  ;) is there a special spanner for this bolt .

its an m socket cant remember what number though.its only a b*stard because of the angle its at :(, but i found it easier to remove the power steering fluid bottle totally made access that little bit easier  ;) but followed tb's guide in the  maintenance guide :y have some plasters ready though just in case ;D ;D ;D
