Passenger door locks, but won't unlock.
« on: 19 March 2012, 07:52:31 »

T reg, 2.0 litre CD
I've only just bought the car, so I'm expecting a few gremlins.
The passenger side front door will lock, but it won't unlock. Gave us a real scare yesterday in Clacket Lane services when the alarm went off!
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks.

You could try fixing the central door locking motor http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90642.0 or  just replace it for a known to be working motor http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90504.0  :y  :y  :y

Replace the door lock solonoid, but remember to get one with the same part No as there are a few differences between models and years, someone on here breaking a mig will have one.

Thought I had the same problem with my drivers door solonoid,  :(  but when I changed my door cards at the weekend I found the that the door lock button had jammed in the plastic holder, in fact it was so tight I had to force it out with the end of a small hammer! Now works as it should with replacement card and parts! maybe I was very lucky  ???  :y
