Traffic master
« on: 22 March 2012, 23:40:02 »

Does anybody still use it? Is it any good? Does it do anything special if you've got the Sat Nav system. I've come across a option in the menus while I've been scrolling through. Does it cost much? I must admit the few times I've pressed it I've found the very bad quality voice irritating to say the least

Mine is hopeless on my commute ATM. Continual road works means they have dug up all the beakons that used to warn of motorway traffic condition PRIOR to actually joining the motorway. No bloody good telling me to expect a half hour delay AFTER I've joined the motorway.

It has it's uses otherwise. Although completely failed in the black hole that is Hammersmith ATM. What a total shambles that is.  >:(

Depends on the type of journeys you do. I do miss it and I'm actually tempted to try and retro-fit it into my van

About 30 quid a year, no benefit to your satnav, works independently on its own Camera, Paging and Radio Network, Good for Motorways use, use to use mine all the time but know London based.

Its got me out of trouble a few times, if I was running up and down Motorways all day would pay the money and use again.

Got mine working, paid £35 for 12 months sub via traffic master direct. Its only an information system, so doesnt reroute satnav ect ect. Good info for mways and major trunk roads. I live right next to the A339 in Newbury, so mines always on when i stick the key in. :y

I use it, and would miss it. But then it works well, given the road network around me
